I am a self-taught photographer, videographer, and occasional designer. I am also a computer whiz, and I hold a Computer Systems Technology diploma. The camera and the computer are my 21st century tools of choice.
I have a passion for capturing images. Experimenting with light and shadow offers endless combinations and keeps me coming back again and again. Whether I am taking still frames or video, I love to create stories with compelling images.
This is the central hub in my world of creation. I use it for programming, web development, networking, editing, searching, watching, and communicating. It is my 21st century tool for 21st century solutions. I use Mac, Windows, and Linux.
Nothing inspires me like an adventure. I love exploring new places; discovering what lies just beyond the horizon. Adventure can be found near and far, but my favourites to date include hiking and camping in Alaska and, exploring Iceland.
I grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, enjoying the beautiful summers and embracing the challenging winters. I have always
had a special love for outdoor activities, and am forever on the lookout for my next adventure. Whether I am playing soccer,
riding my bicycle or motorcycle, hiking, camping, or snowboarding I love to get out and get active. I have a drive to keep moving and keep
improving that has served me well in both my personal and professional career.
That drive is why I continue to push the boundaries of my photo and video work, and why I recently completed my Computer Systems Technology
diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. If you're not going forward you're going backward.
I have experience with a wide variety of development environments and programming languages. I have completed a number of projects, utilizing my web, database, and programming knowledge. I am familiar with Java, Javascript, C, C#, SQL, HTML, CSS, Ajax, JQuery, and more.
I enjoy tinkering, and am familiar with maintaining modern computer hardware. I have experience planning a custom computing solution, working with network technologies, and swapping out field replaceable units such as hard drives, optical drives, RAM, and even motherboards and processors.
I am familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite of applications including PhotoShop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition and more. I am also experienced with the most common productivity software in use today, and am very comfortable with applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Visio.
Send me your questions, comments, video ideas, or tell me about the best sandwich you've ever eaten. I'd love to hear about it.
